We are endorsing Heather because she is an activist at heart. She joined the Moorhead Human Relations Commission in 2019 and sought to change the city council bylaws to recognize Indigenous Peoples Day on the Federal holiday of Columbus Day. This one effort introduced us to Heather’s activism, her passion for the citizens of Moorhead, and for her advocacy in serving some of our most marginalized citizens in the community.

 

Since we met Heather, we have been witness to her hard work in securing the DFL endorsement. She brought a team together of individuals both active and inactive in politics as well as all some of our youngest voters to our more “established” voters. Heather’s hard work and dedication to hearing from the voters and our community leave us with no doubt that she is the candidate that will best represent 4A in St. Paul.
