ABOUT ME

I'm a mom of two boys, one Spud and one future Spud. Although being a mom is my favorite role, I wear many hats and am actively engaged in the community.

As a passionate advocate for equitable and inclusive practices, I have served on the Fargo Native American Commission and the Moorhead Human Rights Commission as Vice Chair.

My most recent community initiative was spearheading the movement for Moorhead to officially recognize and celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day on the second Monday of each October.

I graduated from MSUM with a bachelor’s degree in project management and a master’s degree in educational leadership.

I have worked in the tri-state region for 20 years  to improve community healthcare, nonprofit projects, and education. I worked for six years as a Native American Liaison in the Moorhead Area Public Schools. I am currently the assistant director of Multicultural Recruitment at NDSU.

I have built relationships with people from all different parts of our community, and I hope to represent all of our voices in St. Paul.
